Feelings Builder Rules

Play by yourself, with a friend, or in a group

  • Take one block per turn from any level other than the top level.
  • Choose one, or several, of the following prompts:
  1. Define the emotion on your block
  2. Identify a time you experienced the emotion on your block
  3. Identify something that could make you feel the emotion on your block
  4. Identify a time you made someone else feel the emotion on your block
  5. Identify healthy coping skills you can use if you feel the emotion on your block
  6. Identify physiological and behavioral ways you can tell you feel the emotion on your block
  7. Act out the emotion on the block and see if others can guess it
  8. Practice how to use ‘I statements’ if you feel the emotion on your block
  9. Use reflective listening when someone else uses an ‘I statement’
  10. Create your own way to express yourself using the emotion on your block
  • Place the block on the top level
  • The game ends when the tower falls over.

Or, you can:

  •  Look through all the feelings and make a single stacked tower of all the feelings you felt today
  • Line up all the feelings you had this month like dominoes and knock them down.
